McQueen Made Easy -- and Early! -- at Net-A-Porter
The McKing of to-die-for design debuts his Spring 2009 collection tomorrow in Paris.
What, oh what is one to wear to such a dazzling event? A frock from seasons past? Pish-posh!
I'm not even going to be there and I will still be paying homage to the master, albeit while watching streaming video or looking at pics on InStyle.com.
Lucky for us, McQueen and his pals at Net-a-porter.com have made it very easy to be a McPrincess. Net-a-porter.com (my most adored online shopping source) is offering eight items -- exclusively -- from the Alexander McQueen pre-spring collection (watch the video here) two months before they will be available anywhere else.
You can get same day delivery in Manhattan and overnight delivery across the country to ensure you'll be properly outfitted in time for the show.
This curve-enhancing peplum dress is my must-have...
...what will you be wearing to the show???

What will I be wearing to the show? I won't be at the show, I'll probably be at the library surrounded by undergrads toting around excessively ruffled and buckled handbags and hot-sleeved lattes. I've noticed leggings are in this year around campus, which is a sign of another year of furry boots... though the fashion-forward ought to be phasing those out by now, don't you agree? I mean, those Aquatalia must signal something to the Dukies. Oh, poor Dukies, daddy's card and nowhere to shop... till Thanksgiving of course. Hmm, I haven't been to campus in a week so I'll have to report back again. Back to what I'll be wearing. LTB 1948 blue jeans with the stretchy denim and creases by the cuff and at the thigh, which everyone mistakes for $200+ fashion -- nope, a fraction of that especially when purchased by mom at Filene's Basement in Boston and shipped to her starving grad student son. My other fashion hip and thrift fashion secret revealed about this time will be the donning of MC-7 Nike court shoes. These are a bargain buy that hit that incredible note between plain/lame and retro/hip -- purchased on the cheap yet turned the head of more than one hip-hopper mistaking them for some air force re-release. How far off-topic have I strayed... Bye for now.
